Most people adjust for flat or a target curve. Some adjust by ear. Do you have test tones/tracks, mic, spl meter, etc?

What are trying to accomplish with the eq? Do you experience with eqs? What eq are you using???

The intention of the eq is to create a flat curve if you have peaks and nulls. If you are competing for sq, try to get the sound as flat as possible. If you're trying to make your audio sound good to you, then play with it till you like it. Most people here prefer a bass heavy curve and would feel a little underwhelmed with a preferring flat sound. It's really personal preference unless you're competing.
