EQ just stoped working after changing decks

ok well my homie had a sony deck not sure the model hes going to call me back in a little bit but we changed it out for a pioneer the one in sig and now his performance teknique EQ and my sony EQ doesnt work on it my brothers power acoustics EQ work on it when he had it in his 76 impala but now its not working in his 2000 Grand Marquis it was working fine with the sony deck as he was beatin before he pulled up and then turned it off so does anyone know what could e causing this plz help?????
