1st. i'll have pix up tomorrow, but i installed my epic 150 today.

i have to say, it actually makes quite the noticable difference in bass in the car, and i like the settings i get w/ it.

i have to say that the built-in spl meter is actually pretty close to spot on also, for i register 147's w/ it....i was shocked to see it so close to my real #'s.

the install went easy, and it actually looks almost factory in my chrysler 300.

I like my new toy:naughty:

pix up tomorrow, of it and the rest of my system.

Very nice...have you metered your setup on the TL? I'd like to see if your EPIC compares to the TL.

I've received some flack about using the EPIC-150, but just by ear (I've never been on the TL) the meter seems pretty accurate...

I have an Epic 160 in my wife's car. She mostly listens to 80's **** rock and it's amazing how it adds bass where there isn't bass. I have a lot of fun with Prince and Phil Collins when I'm in it. As far as meters go...we checked with a termlab sensor with the sensor hole facing the same way as the epic mic and were from dead on with a burp and about 3 db off on music for metering. The epic reads up to 3db higher. We sent an email to audiocontol after receiving it to tell them how much we liked it and got some nice goodies in the mail. Anyways, great product, we love ours and I'm getting one for my car this year and my son wants one for his powerwheel.

Do the new models still require a full range signal to work? My deck controls all the levels and crossover points so I can't use one because of the full range requirement.

My amps have no internal crossovers so I can't sub the subwoofer output full range to feed the EPI.

Has that changed perhaps? Can I send a crossed over signal to the new ones and have it work correctly?

You are supposed to sent it to the epic pre crossover I've had my crossovers on a few times and it depends on what time of music you are listening to and what notes you are trying to boost. Phil Collins in the air tonight doesn't work with a crossover on for example.

That is what I thought it still wants to see a full range signal to work which is no good to me since I would have to run an outboard crossover downstream of the EPIC and I don't want to add any components into the signal chain. If my amps had built in crossovers it would be doable. Oh well.
