Enough Power? 2 Mags sealed

I plan on sealing my 2 magnums, and would like them to get 600 watts rms each at least. IS is at all possible to wire them so that I can get that wattage from a Hifonics BX 1500? The subs are DVC 2ohms each coil. According to Hifonics website, this amp puts out 1000 watts rms at 2 ohms, 500 at 4, and 1500 at 1. If this amp wouldn't work, what amps out there (medium expensive, like ~300 bucks) would work in my situation? I would really appreciate any input. Thanks.

You'll be running them at 2 ohms, which I'm sure you know. If that Hifonics puts out 1000 x 1 @ 2ohms, you are getting 500 watts to each speaker on paper. In the car, however, you are probably getting more depending on what voltage ratings that power spec is and if the amp is generally underrated and puts out more power than its spec sheet says. My guess is you'll be putting just under 600 to each speaker, and a 50-75 watt difference isn't going to be noticeable imo.

You will need an amp that puts out 1200 watts at 8 ohm, .5 ohm, or two ohm.

So, it looks like unless you have a lot of money to spend on a good amp that puts out clean power at .5 ohm, you need to get an amp that runs well at 2 ohm with 1200 watts.

I'm running two D2s in a sealed box off two BX1000Ds (one for each sub) - seems to be a very nice match.

However, a single BX1500D probably wouldn't be a problem either - at least that's what the SI people told me when I asked them the same thing.
