enough electrical for 5800watts rms?

ok, so once i get everything installed im going to be running a hifonics goliath and two ed nine.2's for a total of 5800watts rms. i have purchased two hc2400's and i have a 180a alt. the front battery is a interstate wetcell. (four runs of 1/0 to the back...) i am wondering if this electrical will be sufficient for my setup.. i dont want my goliath going up in smoke like bamaboy's did... help is appreciated

i would think so, i knew someone with just like 4 2400s on a stock alt with 6kw

Haven't heard about bamaboy's goliath, but did lack of reserve/electrical have anything to do with it? idk...sounds like something else in his case

But anyway, i'd think it'd be enough, lol. Test it and see. Try see how far you can push it b4 you get dim, volt drops and so on.

I would look into a larger alternator....If it were my setup id get the largest alt available.

Keep a real close eye on your voltage. Pretty much if your dropping below 12.6v you need more battery power.

i got a quote from ea and a 200a alt is like $300 shipped and if i want a 300a its $500 but i would have to build a custom bracket...

excessage amperage... and it was an email quote:

"Th highets I can build in a direct bolt on is a 200 amp. It would be $305 with shipping and insurance included via Fed Ex. I can build a 300 amp for $495 but you would have to do some mods to bolt it on."
