Just as it was when DVD replaced VHS and I found a new realm of sound and vision I have just started to include HD movies in my collection and it is wonderful.

I find myself watching movies I have seen numerous times and had gotten bored with just to see the video quality and sound HD offers.

I just watched Bulletproof Monk in 720p with 1.5mb DTS sound and wow, it was almost enjoyable;)

I have now started discarding my old movie backups I made in AVI format and I steady trying to replace my backup DVD ISO's with new 4-8gb x264 HD movies.

If you havent watched the new compressed x264 encoded HD format I would suggest giving it a try:)

I like 1080p/i and truehd //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif hd dvd+blu ray=awesome //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'm not investing in any new formats until they have a firm foothold. I have a feeling they will go the way of the Betamax, DAT, DCC, and SACD before long.

I'll wait until the dust settles on the HD-DVD/Blue Ray wars.

I have no trouble with dynamics in my system with my speaker complement.

You forgot DVD-A...

And I couldn't agree more...

I only have a 19 HD screen for my laptop. Otherwise I'd get a HD-DVD player for my 360.

I only have a 27" CRT tv in my entertainment center. I'm broke cause of college and it sucks. But the girls **** too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Scooby you should help me with the three six + avi's so I can watch them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

PM me or I have contact in my sig.

My display is only 1080i so 720p works out perfect, no need for 1080p yet.

I didnt mean "old movies" as in old age wise, I meant that as movies I have seen before which I am watching again just to see them in HD and pretty much uncompressed sound.

I am watching Underworld in 720p/DTS as soon as I post this:)
