Sup guys, i'm new to this forum, and fairly new to car audio

I was an idiot the first time and blew a fortune on 2 10"sony xplod's and a crappy 400w amp.

I'm now looking to get new subwoofers and a new amp, on a budget around 450$

What's the best you can get around that price?

If anyone could help me- would be appreaciated, thanks.

Preferrably i want to get 12's.

200 bucks for a used 15 inch quality sub on these classifieds.
200 on a good used amp for around 800 rms?

50 bucks for a good set of wiring?
Preferrable looking for a set of 12's because i have a Ford F-150 extended cab, and i'd have to take out the back seat for 15's, 12's just fit right.

When working with a limited budget you'll get considerably more bang for your buck if you're willing to buy used equipment. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

There are plenty of people on this forum as well as many others who take excrutiatingly good care of their audio gear and once they decide to get something different/better the only thing different about buying the gear they upgraded from over buying that same gear brand new is price and warranty.

Depending on the source, though, heaps of purchases of BNIB gear isn't covered by warranty either (such as almost all eBay sales) so buying used on the cheap becomes an even more attractive option.

Example - Within the budget amount you stated ($450) I managed to cobble together an entire setup comprising of an older Alpine CD player, a set of Polk Audio Momo-series component speakers, a Kenwood amp to power the components, a Kenwood eXcelon 12" sub and another Kenwood amp to power the sub.

That's a HU, a complete front stage, and a complete sub-stage for under $500.

It can be done if you shop carefully enough. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I have 2 Pioneer Premier TS-W126DVC's, Boston Acoustic S60 components, and 4ch. Power Acoustik A600-4HP amp for $275 shipped if you want to build a complete system except the sub amp. I also got a sealed box for the 12's if you just pay shipping on it.
