well i cam across a nice little write-up on how to try an eliminate "engine whine" etc. maybe most of u guys see it before, but its the first for me, so i thought i'd post it:
http://www.termpro.com/articles/noise.html
i had a couple questions about the article too.
#(1) regarding # 6 rule. it said "Make sure the amplifiers have a good audio ground reference" after reading that paragraph, i cant quite understand it. can anyone tell me in easier terms what it basicaly means?
AND
#(2) regarding # 8. they say dont ground all ur amps to one bolt. BUT i thought u were supposed to ground everything to one spot, like a bolt in the trunk of a car or whatever.
now should i ground in DIFFERENT areas like it recommeneds or ALL at the same spot. i thought i would run ALL my amp grounds to the same spot along with my (cd changer, head unit, EQ also to where the amps are grounded)
is this not a good idea?
