Engine deadening?

What's the best way to quiet down the engine compartment of a f350 diesel. I've done the inside firewall, but didn't help much. Now I need to try the engine compartment

I really like second skin sound deadening stuff. Steve meade made a video where he added this product to the hood of his truck showing before and after on youtube. Second skin also makes a spray on material for thermal and noise reduction, I believe there is also a video from them on youtube or the website.
