I am wondering what the effects of building an MDF enclosure would be for the 6.75s in my 01 VW GTi would be. I will be switching to Boston Acoustics SL60s next spring but currently have the monsoon "premium" component system in the car. I would also be applying sound sound deadening material to some of the chassis structure to reduce vibrations around the rear speakers and also in the doors. Would there be a particular size i should aim for? There is about 4" or so of open space from where the speaker mounts to the body panel. Any help is really appreciated on this.
