Enclosure positioning

I'll be building a sealed box for the back of my OBS wagon, to house, most likely, 2 10s. For SQ purposes, I should face the speaker towards the rear so that they're not muffled by the seats if I faced them forward, but should they be firing straight back, or angled up towards the glass of my hatch?

I aimed mine straight up in my wagon and it sounds great.

But thats my ported box. When they were sealed it made absolutely no difference how they were positioned

depends. if you tune low enough you get a ported enclosure to have excellent sq and more output.

i have my sub aimed straight back now and its sealed but im gonna switch to ported and face it straight up to my hatch glass

I have mine facing up the back hatch glass sounds good!!

And I'm able to get a good price on some Blaupunkt stuff, so here's what I'm planning on ordering. Vc 650 components set (120W RMS) up front, powered by the VA2100 (2x100), and 2 Vw 1000 (10s, 1000w RMS). For the amp, though should I get the 2x200 or the 1x400? I suspect, if the subs will handle 1kW, then I'd get one for each. Or would 1 be enough to run them in series?

Are you sure you wish to go with this brand? Is there a certain reason you picked blaupunkt?

Because of the deal I could get on it. Is it not that good? I remember their head units and stuff were always decent, and figured their speakers couldn't be that bad.

Well, I just ordered my sound dampening material, and I'm not ordering anything else until that is complete, so I guess I have a week or two, if anyone else has opinions on BP.
