How effective would lining the inside of my enclosure with closed cell Neoprene Foam be? has anyone tried this?
And why not? Ive seen it done.the only time u ever use a damper inside of an enclosure is when dealing with polyfill, wool, acousta-stuf, etc...
It is used to reduce the resonance peak inside of a box and extend it's acoustical response lower simulating the design of a lower tuned port or a larger enclosure, however you wish to look at it, for not louder lower bass, but more audible lower bass that is more equal to the rest of the audible frequency range the sub is set to play for smoother transient response.
Any form of sound deadening material should never be used inside of a box nor the outside of it.
