I had the subs up and ports back and it sounded alright but when I faced the subs back I felt it more in the kick drum type stuff.

Not a bad install there...if you do decide you want to do another enclosure, just let me know and I will see what I can do for you. Buying prefab is a horrible idea 9 out of 10 times.

I would love a new box I'm just not sure if I should tune higher or lower I was waiting til my brother has me build his because his subs call for 40hz tuning so I was going to see how that sounded and decide from there. I'm really looking to get that punchy kick for techno and rock right now it just isn't hitting them as hard as I'd like it to and for some reason on techno songs it feels a little laggy. Sounds great on hip hop and rap tho lol.

I definitely want to upgrade my amp I'm pretty sure these subs can take a lot more power thinking about selling my aq1200d and ordering the next one up the aq2200d.
