whats up everyone, finally upgrading my system after a couple years.

building/installing all of this myself. I've done about 6-7 install of mine, and for my friends, but never building my own box. always pre-fabs. so this is a learning process so bare with me and constructive criticism is welcome.

little info on the car.. 1995 dodge neon, 5speed. slow.

this is my mess around daily driver do whatever car. my baby's my 98' firebird (403rwhp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif) so no big systems in that, strictly race car.

now that the intro's done. heres the equipment list, and a picture or two of the neon.

1 15" Fi SSD

3.5^3ft box tuned to around 34hz

1 audiopipe 1500d (expecting around 1200rms @ 1ohm)

4 gauge Knu wire

Kenwood KDC-MP342U headunit

Bazooka 5 1/4 components and 6X9's (already installed when i bought the car)

now the victim:

Headunit is installed (no pic)

the rest of the equipment is being shipped currently will update when stuff gets here.

Box:

cuts before glue

starting to look like something

painting ports ftmfw

looks pretty nice

45's going in (not glued yet)

after 45's and a little culk

how she sits now. finishing it up on monday

trying to figure out a unique box color/texture etc. going to be unique.

With a SSD on 1500w, I would have went much smaller on the box. Probably around 2.8 cubes ported.

Wow, great looking box for your first try!!! I'd try to brace the back wall or reinforce with something, def don't mount an amp on that anyway.

soo, with school and work, and having to drive 30mins to work on everything this finally got finished Sunday.

finished product (had to make spacers for the 6X9's because the box was to big. its pretty loud. videos comming tomorrow.

Hot dam, both cars look sick, especially the firebird! Not much a Neon fan, but yours looks good!

really makes all the headaches that comes with getting a system right worth it.

believe it or not i got the neon a few months ago for $1000 cash.. 130k miles 5 speed. gets 35mpg couldnt ask for a better daily driver. and i've always secretly wanted a blacked out car. and i turned this one into one for around $50. (tinted windows myself, nightshaded lights, got some lowering springs for off a friends neon who wanted normal springs for winter lol)
