What are my options for electrical upgrades...I know new alt which I dont have the money for right now, a 2nd battery for just amp and sub? Big three I know of...What else can I do that wont be TOO cost effective. Dont really have a budget yet just trying to get prices and ideas in the picture.

I'm guessing you mean the opposite. The big 3 will be the cheapest of the options. Do you NEED to upgrade?

If I was to go with a second battery in the back of my car, soley for my amp and sub, would this take any of the load off of my cars main electrical system. And if I run it soley for my stereo, would an isolator be needed?

Do a little reading on isolators. When your car is off, it'll draw from the spare only to save your main battery for starting the vehicle. Great if you have your car off and are running electrical outta your car.

Since batteries run at 12v and your car runs at 14v w/engine on, as soon as your overpower your alt, your system would level out at 12v pretty much.

I do agree w/IA2 on your electrical problem. Get that fixed first, then see where you stand.

An isolator would be a very safe idea. But adding a second battery to a weak electrical system is just asking for more trouble. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yeah, after doing some more research on my electrical options I have seen that the extra load really isnt elping. My car is getting looked at now. When it comes out and is fixed, would it definatly help to just get a better alternator?
