Electrical upgrade

I have an 80 amp alt stock in my car and my new amp will run about 2600-2800 rms at 1 ohm. i plan on upgrading my alt but not for several months. would a kinetik in the back help? and whats better (if anything) about putting a kinetik in the back as opposed to a yellow top or something like that? just wondering. ill have the big 3 done as well. any other suggestions?

It helped for me, I had a 80amp stock too. Helped dimming alot, but u cant crank ur system 24/7 no matter what. Also make sure ur gonna upgrade the alt for sure.

well i can get a 130 amp alt in about 2 weeks for very cheap. stock replacement. but anyways..thats not my question. i asked if a kinetik would be helpful for the time being and if theres a diff between having a K in the back or a yellow top...

surely wouldnt hurt, but with 2600+ watts you would eventually want to get a 180+ amp alt i would think

^^ your alternator is much more important, but a kinetik will ALWAYS help the situation, just not fix it
