Electrical System Short because of AMP or Subs?

I just installed a new MB Quart 1500.1 Amp to my two RE SE 10" Subs. I have them connected to 1 Ohm. I set the amp for 31.6 volts. About 1000 watts. Speakers are rated 600 Each RMS. At about 3/4 output 27 volts the system shorts my electrical system out and the head unit restarts. NOTE: Its not the battery. New Optima Yellow top. Never goes below 13.8 volts.

Any idea? Bad amp? Bad speaker(s)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check your grounds, check connections behind the headunit.

Off topic, but do you mind taking pictures of your set-up? I have a 2008 Altima too and I get an idea as to how much space a 2.5cu.ft. box takes up.
