Okay there are two blue wires in the back of my HU, one all blue and one with a white stripe on it. I checked the manual (before my amp installation) and the blue with white stripe is the remote line for an external amplifier (taken from my manual.) And I had it hooked up to my Audiobahn amp and there were no problems..

So how do I hooked it up to jump my car properly? I had pos to neg on my brothers car, then pos on my car and had the negative on a grounding spot...

You just have to make sure that the jumper cables are making good connetions with the battery poles....

The remote wires goes to the external amplifier !

I know.. I know.. I have the remote wire soldered to the blue and white wire.

Then the amp should turn on and off with the HU!

IDK whats going on.. It is now turning off with the HU though.

I am going to take everything out today and wait for my new subs, HOPEFULLY TODAY, and then just wire everything back up nice 'n pretty and make sure it all right. Ill post the final outcome.

**** USPS.. My subs were mailed out on Monday morning, and they are still not here, and they guy is in the same state!

try taking the remote off the amp and see if the amp stays on...It should not...Try it with the HU on and off, then go from there!

Okay, so I did the light bulb siggestion, and it lit up when I tested to remote line. Would this mean that I have a faulty HU? It is still under warrenty with CC, so should I take it in, or could there be other causes?

I bought a switch to put on the remote for the time being, until I get to the bottom of this. Because the amp killed my battery, as was the cause of this thread.

And yes, if the car is off, and I pull the remote line from the amp, the amp shuts off.

I would say it is the HU. Was the HU off when you tested it with the light bulb? If it was and the buld turned on then "Houston we have a problem" If that was the case then return the HU.....Go there with your car and show CC whats going on! That lets them know you mean business....
