Hey all, I recently pulled my old system and went with something simple, a RF P6002 amp running a pair of Polk-MOMO MM2104 10" subs. Amp is running in a 2ohm load, 300rms into each sub. The gain on the amp is just below 1/2.
When I turn the volume up roughly 3/4-way, my lights dim pretty bad and the dash also dances for me (lights).
I upgraded the factory ground that was completely croded to a good 4awg ground. Would an alternator upgrade (power & ground) and an Optima 800u gel-cell work? Or, should I look at upgrading the alternator also?
The reason I ask about the alternator, is its rated at 60amps (Honda), and it has 130k miles on it. So, I figure it could use a refresher!?
