my friend currently has a GMC Jimmy that we've put 4 MA audio 12s in...i know i wanted to atleast talk him into some entry line kickers but these MA's did really do well when in the right box.
anyways.. hes going to be running 1.2k rms to these and im wondering what he needs to do for electrical.
He has a very nice run of 1/0 from Lightning audio which actually was a good deal for $40/ 20ft. but otherwise i had a look at his batt: and its rated for: 630 CCA @ 0 degrees farenheit. and 785 CA @32 degrees farehheit. im not sure how much this means in terms of how well it will take the amperage draw from the amp.
but will he need a new alt? were doing the big 3 100% with atleast 2ga. will he need a 2nd batt, or should he just get a yellow top and use the batt that he has in now as the 2nd batt in the back by his amp? and does any1 know where to get cheaper batts than 195 for a yellow top or 200 for a cap killer?
