Electrical Help!!!

So far from listening to you guys I haven't been let down and my electrical system was fine up until I added a second PDX1.1000 in my trunk. I ditched my cap long ago and added a second battery, did the big 3, got a HO alternator but now I'm starting to see the dimming head lights again and I'm losing RPM's. The guys at the car audio shop I go to said if I put a 5 farad cap in the trunk with the second battery I should be ok, and a guy at an auto electric shop said I should add a battery isolator. Any thoughts or advice from you guys would be fantastic.

 
either add another rear battery, or get rid of the rear battery you have and get a much bigger one. Yellowtops generally have low Ah so if you are bumping alot daily they tend to drain faster than batts with high Ah ratings (like powermaster d3100 or kinetik hc2400)

Really? Sorry if this sounds dumb, but wouldn't that just add more strain on the alternator since there would be 3 batteries to charge instead of just 2?

your alt is draining more regardless because you are pulling more current. so either you want to drain it more and have your lights dimming with your current setup or you want to drain it and not have your lights dimming with enough reserves from your batts to handle teh load. I mean if you really REALLY want to solve the problem get a bigger alt (I dunno if that's possible for your car, just noting)

It's not, I've altready checked. Ok, so the third battery or better batteries is option 1. What about the battery isolator though? Has anyone had any expierence with them?
