Electrical help needed fellas!!!

When I switch to 16 volts for comp or for show, I want to isolate the 16 volts down to 12 volts from my engine bay battery to the main power wire for my durango. I just need to know what kind of resistor or what I need to buy to shave a few volts off from my vehicles electric.

I drew a ****TY diagram to help, the pink box is the place i need this "resistor" to be. I have a few ideas, but want some other peoples input.
