electrical circuit question dealing with magneto's

when a magneto is in the off position, teh circuit is complete. (grounded)

when it is on the circuit is ont complete, thus causing the electricity to seek to complete the loop and to jump across the spark plug.

which one shows resistance then?

the circuit isn't complete in the off position....IIRC, its just goes to the plug or pair of plugs at a time, in firing order.

EDIT: to answer, when the spark jumps, thats when you'd see resistance, albeit small.
