So i've had this problem with my car ever since i put a sub/amp in it.. Basically everything works flawless untill i really crank it all up. I have a pioneer 4800 head unit- hifonics 1505d amp and a 12" alpine type r for my setup.. The problem I'm having is when i put a bass test on or something with crazy bass on and i turn the volume up real high it will shut the whole stero off when it hits really hard.. Im guessing it has to do with something like a battery or wiring or something but im not quite sure what..? Anyone ever had this problem? It's almost like theres no more power for the stereo to draw so it just shuts off..? I have yet to install a gauge to monitor my battery but i was waiting to figure out what the problem even is first..

Grab a DMM and check your voltage levels during high current draws. I would guess that your voltage is dropping very low and causing your something to shut down.

Tell us a little bit about what you have done for your electrical system. (aka all stock, big 3, extra batteries, HO alternator, etc.)
