Efficiency of Hifonics amps (1206, 1606, 2006, 2606)

Okay, so I hear everyone saying that Hifonics amps do not put out rated power. Seems like it would be true given the low price that these amps can be bought for. However, I have never seen concrete evidence of this.... so my questions are...
1.) What is the actual efficiency of these amps?

2.) Does anyone have any links to where these have been benched, or first hand experience of benching these?

I was just kinda curious seeing as how I have a 1206 and would like to know a ballpark figure of what it REALLY puts out.

i used to run the bxi2607d's. they do rated power at proper voltage and reactive load.

if you doubt that a hifonics is even 80% efficient then that brings to question when people say that a zx2500.1 is 90% efficient.

The only amp I know of that's suposed to be 90% plus efficient is the kicker warhorse and maybe the RF T15k

90% efficient...wow you dont even need any metal for a heat sink at that rate!!! Put it under your seat and bust a$$ once in awhile for air flow and youre good!!!

a friend of mien had the 2006 d with 0 guage wiring with 2 15"l7 kickers pushing them HARD and the 80 amp fuse never blew. He had 14.02volt constant thx to kinetik battery. However a 60 amp fuse blew right away.

So I'm guessing it was doing 1100 RMS? for an amp rated at 2000..... 55% efficiency

iv had a bxi 2606 for some time now on two l7 12 with a kenetik hc2000 alty is putting out 165amps and not only will i say that they put out **** near raited power but even tho they wont worenty them down to .5ohm i can vouch that they can and will do it, might not like it to much but it **** sure putout2500w

Mmats amps are around 90% efficient as well. And efficiency has nothing to do with what percentage of the RMS power it's actually making, like ProjectPechkin said. It refers to what percentage of the actual amperage drawn by the amp is converted into power, and not wasted into heat. So the more efficient the amp, the less amperage(and less strain on your alt) it needs to use in order to produce a given amount of power.
