Its similar to the JL, but to call them identical makes you an imbecile, since that claim is rather obviously false.
One huge thing some of you numbnuts missed is that it has a totally standard mounting technique, quite dissimilar from JL's proprietary mounting technology.

So yea, the same, NOT EVEN close, similar in some ways, definitely. Of course, these are probably some of the same idiots that claim ED's stuff is being built in China. (that's a chinese guy in the picture building those right?)

Gotta love witless fools trying to start controversy. Some of you should have been swallowed by your mothers... (80 INCHES and Telegon would be prime examples)

when i looked at more pics of this ed sub and and actually took a w7 out of the box to c the difference, i did see the difference...the only thing that looks similar is the color and the spoke design, other than that..there different based upon wat u said...but all the extra stuff was not needed

cuz thats how threads get turned to shit with comments like that

now imma let that slide, cuz this has turned out to be a decent topic on a sub from a interesting company

I agree with you, but when I have had multiple good experiences with them, I don't rely on other things that have happened, but rather how my experience was.
It's funny to think how many people on this board push RE still and I definitely remember RE doing shady things, as noted in my previous post. But I bet some of these RE fanboys hate eD...hehe.

Oh, and indoaudio is not a scammer...I have bought several things from them as have my friends and they have even given me package deals that weren't through eBay. If they were "scammers" as you put it, they wouldn't have these statistics:

still wasnt right of re to do it.... and not tell their customers.

example- would you want to go into say, best buy, and buy a tv (as new, you paid new price) get it home, and find out it was a customer return? i wouldnt, and neither would many other consumers... they were onyx rejects, plain and simple. re hid the name, and sold them as new hc's. not right, plain and simple

eD does not equal shit.

I love how a couple people have some problems with their subs and then all the forums hate a company.

Bottom line eD had quality products at a good price, 5 year warranty, and great customer service. I used to beat the hell outta my kv.2's until I sold them to get my DD's

I love how everyone is drooling over this sub which is a W7 copycat.

13", ohh smart Ben. Make the frame look similar to W7, thatll help sales. This sub is nothing new in terms of breakthrough or technology, yet it took them like 10 years to "delevop" it. I think its nothing to get excited about unless they will be in the 300 or less price range.

That's where the breakthrough will happen. There's nothing wrong with that either. Would you buy a product that can equal or better something else that is twice the cost?

He may not be the "innovator" of the century, but if he can produce something for cheap, that's a good thing.
