eDead UE, my thoughts...

Cool comparison, thanks for posting it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

BTW, is this the same frootloops from the second skin forum?

Seems to me it turned out to be a somewhat favorable review, if you look at it objectively. If you consider nobody will be torching their sound deadener or soaking it in turpentine. You said yourself that it's the heaviest mat you've encountered, which translates into better damping of vibrations.
Unfortunately some people interpretted it negatively.
If you simply want mass loading, Id suggest something better than 120mil thick poor-quality butyl rubber mat. I have a concrete mix that mass loads like nobody's business, for example.

But, if you DO want to mass load using mat, you would be money ahead, and acheive better performance, from double-layering a cheaper alternative. IMO the point of this test is that it shows eD prices this product at top-quality levels, but the performance/durability lacks when compared to real top-quality products. So why pay top-quality prices for mid-quality product?

That's a very good interpretation of the findings, I applaud you. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

Proves what I found out a couple years back... Ant makes ome quality stuff. I wouldnt ever think of using anything else. It handles Las Vegas summers like nothing. No smell, no delamination, just stays where I stuck it and works phenominally well.

Gotta love SecondSkin...
