Quick ohms question.

The sub channel on that amp can do 420 watts rms on a 2 ohm load, or 210 watts rms on a 4 ohm load. So to get the most out of it find a sub with a 2 ohm resistance.

This can be either:

-1 single voice coil sub with the coil at 2ohms

-1 dual voice coil sub with each coil at 4 ohms (wired in parallel)

-2 subs each with a 4 ohm load (wired in parallel)

-2 subs each with a 1 ohm load (wired in series)

probably should look for a dual 4 ohm sub...that amp puts out 410 watts at 2 ohms
Thanks Bones.

RMS Power (4 ohms) 70 watts x 4 chan. + 210 watts x 1 chan.

RMS Power (2 ohms) 85 watts x 4 chan. + 420 watts x 1 chan.

RMS Power (1 ohm) Not Stable

Bridged RMS Power 130 watts x 2 chan. + 420 watts x 1 chan. (at 2 ohms)

With these specs I wasn't sure if I had to run it at 4ohms because I'd be running the speakers all at 4ohms. So I guess I can run the speakers all at 4ohms and the sub at 2ohms?

you forgot the famous dual 1 ohm sub:crazy:

Yeah, if you haven't bought em yet, then get a matching third sub. I would wire them to 1.3ohm, unless for some reason, you have some really...
