Which of these 3 amps is the better amp? looking to stay bellow $500 and currently have the Hifonic BX1500D.

i would go with the 9.1, unless you can get your hands on the PG xenon amps, those are pretty sweet.

1400-1500 watts @ 2-4 ohms > 1200 watts @ 1 ohm ...

The ED should be roughly on par with the PG. The consistent power at different ohm levels is a nice feature, though.

Make sure you get the Xenon authorized, so you dont end up with one of the models from the first run plagued by problems.

I guess the real question is, what subs are you going to use?

although I prefer Diamond Amps over all of the above for my subs (D61500.1) made in USA.

I do own an eD amp and its a great deal,cheap,powerfull and 3 year warrenty

I think they are a smart company,and offer alot for less.

I do also own a Xenon- and I think they are junk in comparison,Ill sell you mine half price LOL

I hear good things about Autotek but never owned one

the ed 9.1 does 450 x 1 @4 ohms

but the pg's do 1200 x 1 @4 ohms

is the xenon better than the tantrum or is there much of a difference

I would pick up the Tantrum 1200.1. Why?

1. Very good build quality. Any issues that the Xenon line had weren't apparent with the earlier Tantrum models.

2. More power.

3. Much more impedance flexibility. Heh...I've made the case before why tube amps **** for subwoofers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Having a very low damping factor and efficiencies barely pushing 25% for Class A devices will do that. It would be scary to see how something like that could control 25mm+ of excursion.
