I am helping a guy with his first system, and I would like some opinions. He is on a $500 budget, so I was thinking about a single Elemental Designs 13Ov.2 D4 powerd by a Kicker ZX550.3 (420 watts). He will also be running a set of components off of this amp. How will the ED sub sound on 420 watts? Anything better for the price for a SQL setup? Thanks.

Port it and it should do just fine...

OK, it is going in a 92 ranger, not sure how much room there will be. What is the rms on this sub?
It depends on who you ask on what day... 500? 600? 700? Doesn't really matter though... you've got the power available to get decent output from it -- even if you go sealed.
