Eclipse owners: how many use the "advanced/pro" mode?

also actually to get into pro mode i believe you hold down the "sound" button. well at least on my 8455.
Yep, holding down the "sound" button is how you get into "advanced" mode on the 8445. I was wondering about this "loudness" thing... I dont think the 8445 has it.

It's probably not on then Jeff. I know that I've freaked a few times after unhooking the battery and then restaring the deck to find hear my mids rumbling like crazy only to remember that the **** loudness on. In normal mode if you hold down the volume/source button for two seconds it will switch it on and off. I guess you would have to look in the manual to double check that.

Glad you got it working in your favor....and I know what you mean there are so many adjustments on that thing that it gives you a headache some times. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Does the 8454 have CSII and how is it accessed?
No....only on the 05-06's....Circle Surround II w/ True Bass....borderline gimmicky for me but is does enhance the surround feeling of the music if that's what your into....works for kingsxman b/c he is running rears //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

It does have loudness. But you can't turn it on if CSII is also on. Its either one of the other. Turn CSII off and then hold down the volume knob again, it should work.

The owner's manual is your friend. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

As usual...Foxpro (and others) are right. Loudness does work in both advanced and normal. I was trying it in advanced when I had the CDII on. No go then.

Took CDII off and loudness does work to turn it on and off.

Foxpro is also right in that I have rear speakers and it makes CSII sound better. It almost brings the stage back too far I think. its odd. John, you'll have to hear it.

thanks again all for your help.
