***Eclipse deck owners***

im thinking about getting an eclipse deck, and it appears that none have a pause button on them. is there any way to pause the music at all? (ive searched eclipses site up and down for an answer and found nothing)

nope not on my CD3434, but it does have a mute button.

on the 8455 there is pause button. fyi the pause for the 8455 is the #3 button.

I have owned the 8454 and the 8455. Both have a pause button. The 8454 has a pause display next to the side of it while the o5 model is unmarked on the number 3. I would imagine the 8445 would pause off of 3 just as the 8455. In all honesty, go to eclipse web site and call customer support. They can confirm if the model you want has a pause button. I read at least four posts asking the same thing about the 8455 with multiple replies of no. It would either be owners of other models beside the 8455, or people that are too lazy to read the 200 page manual. However, I have heard that the lower end (non flip face) do not have a pause.

yeah, i called the guy im looking to get the 8445 from and he tried pressing #3, but it did nothing. but then alphakenny1 told me that for some reason it doesnt work on mp3 cds that are burned as data cds, so im gonna give him a call and see if he did it with a regular cd.

#3 has been the pause button on both my 8455 and 8443

yeah, i called the guy im looking to get the 8445 from and he tried pressing #3, but it did nothing. but then alphakenny1 told me that for some reason it doesnt work on mp3 cds that are burned as data cds, so im gonna give him a call and see if he did it with a regular cd.

Ryan - I tryed hitting #3 while a normal (not mp3 encoded) disk was playing and nothing happened??? The only two possibilities left are that the 8445 does not have a pause feature OR that my particular deck doesn't work correctly. We just need another 8445 owner to chirp in and confirm this....

Manny does your pause on the 8455 work with both regular cds and mp3 cds? Because I was messing with chris's (filtor1) 8455 and IIRC the pause wasnt working on the mp3 data disk he had, which I believe had 5 or 6 folders of music, but it worked fine with his store bought cds.

**** this sux. well i posted another thread about nice SQ decks with the stuff i want (including a pause button), and im waiting to see what every1 suggests. pioneer doesnt really offer anything i want and alpine i dont want of course. but im trying to get some opionions on kenwood and clarion (kinda pricy though). but the way its looking now, i may just be buying a deck without pause (your deck)

My deck has not once seen an mp3 disk, sorry...but it works on all cd's/cdr's/cdr-w's i have.....I'll try one out as soon as i can get my hands on one.

My 8443 and my gf's 8454 both have a pause on #3.
