eclipse 8443 problem

i just installed my eclipse 8443 and everything works perfectly except for radio. i can very faintly hear the song on some stations but most all of them are very fuzzy. I do not have a power antenna on my car (just one that stays out) so i did not hook up the blue power antenna wire on the harness...is that the problem? Thanks for you help guys

btw...posted this in hu section and got no help so thats why ive moved this to here. hope this doesnt cause any problems but trying to get this problem fixed before i get it completely installed.

you dont need to hook up the blue wire. It sounds like the antenna isnt plugged into the back of the deck. other then that i dont know why it wouldnt work
