eclipse 7200mkII- morel hybrid -passive crossovers

hey this is my first post

my system:

HU: eclipse 7200mkII

Amplifiers: 1.audison lrx 4.5 (goes to morel hybrid series passive crossovers)

2. boston gt24 (amplifies the boston g5 subwoofer at 2ohm)

I have a problem with my system. the problem is there is clipping and distortion when I'm at high volumes. This wasn't happening before when I had an alpine HU with 2v out.

ever since I switched over to the eclipse 8 volt out HU I cant set my system to not clip and the amps are on 0 gain.

The boston g5 sub isn't clipping at all just the components in the front.

I will appreciate any help or recommendations thanks

Turn the sub up so it clips the same time as the front speakers and be more careful with your volume control.

You could possibly put a line driver or some kind of processor and step down the input voltage to the amps.

Or go active //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

i'm from fair lawn

the eclipse 7200 does have quite a bunch of settings can I set something there to lower the output voltage to the amps?

I know theres a function called SVC on there I think it stands for sound voltage control but i'm not completely sure. Anyways if I turn that down quite a bit, it eliminates the distortion but then My system sounds muffled like its on lowpass. It shouldn't have to sound like that but maybe i'm still missing something I dont know.

If I go active should I take the morel hybrid series crossovers out of the sound chain?

I'm asking this because these morel crossovers have an option for biamping ...I saw they have a tweeter input output and a mid input output.

Is anyone here bi-amping these hybrids please let me know thanks

Do a good bit of reading and research regarding going active. Take out the passives. Run Active. Smile.

There are numerous options on that deck. It will probably take some learning as I dont have any idea, but take advantage of them. Your system will thank you.
