Eclipse 5423 - Aux. input trouble

I have had my deck (Eclipse 5423) for a few years now and with the whole ipod/mp3 boom i figured i should be sure that my deck will be compatible before i go and purchase an mp3 player. Anyways i connected my laptop to my deck via the aux. input connector. My problem is when i play music from the laptop streaming through the deck it only is played through the front/passenger speaker. Has anybody had this prob with their 5423 - or know of any suggestions/solutions? Thanks for any help.

i assume you are useing a mini plug coming out of your laptop??

if so, wiggle the mini plug around.. see if the sound comes in all the speakers..

Yeah that helps sometimes. My computer does that when i hook up the laptop speakers everyonce in a while...

yeah i have tried that and also a few ipods with no luck. and unfortunatly the dealer (sound advice) that sold me the deck no longer sells eclipse gear. so when i went in their with this same question they said that their tech's will not know and they don't service or have anything to do with eclipse anymore. i will probably try another local dealer (stereorama) and see if they have any suggestions. thanks for the help, and if anybody has any other ideas/suggestions please post them.

oh and yes i am using the mini plug (3.5)
