16v alt with a step down, easy and reliable. I run dual alts, but that adds up and usually takes bracket fabrication.

That depends on how much current you 16v system draws.

any way beyond using kinetik hc16v's with an externally regulated alt is going to get pricey....try pricing out 2 step down modules from power master, its about the same price as a flux cap..

now that i got my hc16v's setup properly there working well...

just make sure you parallel the 12v posts and set up a relay to switch on your amps/voltage regulator and you'll be good.

easiest way is to just have a 16v bank, charging them is a different story...im trying the turbostart step up transformers ATM, if your alternator puts out 14v, they charge over 19v. I have also used a DC/AC converter to power a chager
