e-designs subs???

was wondering if anyone has had experience (success) with these subs... especially the lower end, like the kv series... might do a trade for a pair of e16kv.2

are they durable? i know my sx can handle more than rated daily, but can these?

can they take 600+ daily with gain set correctly???

do they get loud? seem like sq drivers to me... are they indeed sq drivers?

comparison:

sx 15 v.s (2) e16kv.2 (ovbiously install dependant, but in their correct sql boxes off of 1200rms)

: which would be louder for daily?

: which would sound better for all types of music?

The SX and the Kv.2's are somewhat different drivers built for different purposes...the Kv.2's are not competition woofers, but certainly get loud for daily driving.

I think two 15's would give you the output you're looking for, while retaining excellent SQ...eD drivers like smaller boxes than the SX, and lower tunings.

what kinda music do you listen to? i use to have my rl-p's tuned to 39 hz. for daily driving, but i listen to nothing but rap of course. have you ever looked into a set of rl-p's? the rl-p's will give you nearly the same output as the sx and sound great. a lot of people think the rl-p is strictly an sq sub, but that is not the case.

I have one '02 ED-k 15" in my 4 door Civic and it suprises people. The box is 3 cube @ 30Hz powered with about 500W and it's enough to make a beer bottle jump and dance off the hood of my car with the car off.

It gets loud and hits the notes well also. Only problem is it doesn't take the lows real well, it kind of fades out. I'm building a new box to see if its the box or the sub.
