dvd player help

I am putting in a dvd player in the morning in my work truck (2006 silverado 2500) it is a panasonic cq-vw100u

I need to hook up the green side brake wire to the parking brake sensor

I guess so it only works when you are driving

My question is does this go to a hot side or the ground side of the sensor or does it just very per model dvd player

should go to ground. if it doesnt work then try the hot

Goes to the ground...! and put it on a toggle switch so that you can cycle it like a parking brack on the ones I installed you had to close/open/close/open the switch, then it will work until you turn the key off

or I could just put a relay on it to cycle it when the remote wire goes hot

Why would you have to cycle it anyway

Because the new ones are designed that you can not just ground the wire and watch videos it is made to make you put on the parking brake than off than abck on so the unit can confirm that you are parked. But the switch takes place of that.
