DVD burning help

I need a program that can convert a divx file to a format I can burn it. Or if anyone has a program that will allow me to just burn a divx directly into a dvd that will work in a normal dvd player. I cant download torrents at our school so if anyone has any other way to get the file it would be much appreaciated. Thanks much

DVD Shrink 3.2 freeware has served me well.
