I don't know much about the sub except that it is a Diamond and a 12 and a D3what is the sub rated for? like ohms, wattage, and all that?
if you tell everyone that then they might find the problem... did you hear it before you bought it?
Uh... so your positive and your negative BOTH come off the battery? Yeah, that's gay. Ground the negative in the trunk. Also, in bimmers, don't they have a hell of a lot of insulation between the trunk and the cabin? That may also account for some of the loss. And uh, find out what GAUGE the wire is. 8awg is worthless and best left as speaker wire.Ground is directly connected to battery, not my idea, but the guys at local shop did it (said it was chill on the bmw when i questioned) Wiring is not very thick, but it was adequate for my alpine amp...
Here is info on both amps:

Box is Sealed (don't know how that would make a huge difference as i am getting basically little bass)
once again what setting on my digital multi meter, and what am i looking forif you have a dmm, hook it up to the terminal on the box and see what it reads
Gay????? Or possibly a problem that might warrant the failure of my sub to produce much bass.... GAYY!?>!?!Uh... so your positive and your negative BOTH come off the battery? Yeah, that's gay. play a 50hz or so sine wave and see what the output voltage on the amp isOk so i did alot I did the DMM first... and with resistance i got about 4.7 does that sound right?
Now for the pictures... This is startign to look promising because i don't think it is wired right but maybe....
