Check online and see if your pioneer can run at 1 ohm, some are rated for it, especially the mono amps. If this is possible you would want to wire your voice coils in parallel for 1 ohm load, the amp woudl make at least twice as much power as it is currently putting out.
Try the type E's on the pioneer amp and see which one is stronger. Sorry you got int all thsi but $150 is not that much of a loss and the gear works, you can easily spend twice that on one woofer with no box. Check if that pioneer can go to 1 ohm online.

The amp is not rated down to 1 ohm.... At least not anywhere i can find... I AM NOT going back to my type E's

Have you checked with your DMM to see what Voltage your getting coming out of your amp? Should be around 30volts+/-

no cause i don't know what setting to do on it, and what it would tell me... that i dont already know
