Dual audio Source from Factory HU

2007 Tahoe. Has a dual audio source( can play cd in front, radio in back through head set). I have 4 rca outs from the hu. How should i wire the amp for a single sub? If i wire it wrong, will anything happen or are RCA's just sending signal and will not do damage. I assume i will have to trial and error to find how i want it wired. just want to make sure i don't ruin anything when i plug rcas in wrong.
