dual 4 ohm voice coils

if i have a sub with dual 4 ohm vioce coils can i wire for a 2 ohm load? how?

budnik-- call the voice coils on your (dual 4ohm sub)

voice coil #1 and voice coil #2

wire the plus from voice coil #1 to

the plus of voice coil #2

then

wire the minus from voice coil #1 to

the minus of voice coil #2

this is called parallel wiring a dual 4 ohm sub

for a 2 ohm load

then

wire the plus and minus from your amp

to voice coil #1 plus and minus

for a 2ohm load to your amp
