I'm an OG to this forum from about 20 years ago. I was mostly known on Termpro back in the day, and it's been a while on any forum. If you remember the old RE stuff then you're super cool in my book!
I'm selling this Resonant Engineering (RE Audio) HC 15" for $250 plus shipping from 85233. I'll take payment via Venmo. This is my favorite subwoofer I've ever owned! Back in the day Resonant Engineering / RE Audio made hand-built subwoofers in Las Vegas. The HC was their first line, which later was replaced by the SX. The HC was a SQ sub that could go low and loud.
I ran this subwoofer in a 4.0 cubic foot vented enclosure tuned to 30hz with roughly 45" of port area, and I powered it with a Hifonics 1500 watt amp. It handled all genres of music effortlessly, whether it was bass-heavy rap, rock, or SQ-oriented music such as jazz.
As you can see there are some scratches on the poly dish covering the cone (no structural damage), but otherwise the sub is in great shape. The surround shows no signs of deterioration, the tinsel leads are fully intact, the voice coil has no discoloration and doesn't rub against the top plate or magnet slugs, and the spider is still pretty tight. Also, if you're curious, that's an allen wrench stuck to the magnet slugs. It's just convenient to keep it there to loosen / tighten the speaker wire terminals. I just don't have the room in my current car for this subwoofer, so that's why it's for sale.
