Dual 2ohm Speaker On A 2 Channel Amp

HOW do you wire them on a 2 channel amp. mine amp keep cutting off when i run then in series. it play for 5 second then it go in prot.

I assume you are going to need a 4 ohm load... what is the amp?

well here is the thing. Amplifiers dont have a certainmaximum ohm load they can play at, so the resistance the amp is seeing is not making it shut off.

Actually, I just thought of this. If you are wiring each VC to a channel by mistake, then it may be the resistance because each channel is seeing 2ohms, and your amplifier may not be 2ohm stable. What you would need to do in that situation is wire the sub in series and be sure to bridge the two channels, if your amp has that feature. Otherwise, wiring in parallel would do nothing but drop the impeadance to 1ohm.

DVC 2ohm sub.

Wiring options- 4 or 1ohm

You cannot wire it for a 2ohm mono load, stop screwing around and wire it in series.

Either way, if it is going into protect with them wired in series then that means the impeadance is TOO low, wiring them in parallel will only drop the R even more, so it wont help you. Wire each in series and then wire each to a channel. Your amp should be able to run each channel at 4ohms.

Also, are you not american/native english speaker or do you just not know how to talk?
