Dual 10” 4th order Bandpass Build

Pretty obvious question, but in small bandpass enclosures, don't you have to destroy the box if you ever have/want to remove the subs?

Looks nice. More pics //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

I am going to split the top of the box in 3 panels. 2 for the permanent sealed enclosure on each side and 1 for the vented area that will be screwed together and gasketed.

Without going back and looking, Would it not be easier to just remove the back panel and reseal that. That way your less to warp anything or produce leaks. You can make a small groove to keep everything in-line and tight.

Right now the way it’s designed is to mount the sub thru the vented area. I want to make sure that the sealed portions stay sealed.

When I get more pictures up my logic I hope will be more apparent.

Here are the specs:S Value : 0.70

Gain : 2 dB

Fb : 52Hz

Passband :

Lower cutoff 32Hz

Upper cutoff 85Hz
I designed the box based off equations in the loud speaker design handbook and modeled it with an old school pencil and paper before I put it in 3d.

Update:

Here is some more progression with the build.

This is the second face the port walls.

I'm going to let the glue dry over night and then start sanding when I get a chance.

Stoopid me, its in your first post! U got lots of clamps like the most installers. They are bloody expensive yet so handy. I guess its justified if you're an installer by saving on time and screws //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

so whats the volume of the front and rear chambers? I was interested in a design like this cos of my vehicle, but the size threw me off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Those are the worst D70 pics I have ever seen.

I think that wasin referance to my camera?

If so I just put it on auto, focus and snap. It does great work I try, but to interested in the build not realy much on the quality of the pics;).

If not nevermind.
