DSC4125 below 2 ohm per channel?

lol i have actually talked with the Engineer and vp of marketing they know it, I know it so dont fight it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

theya re stable all day at this

For what it's worth:
The company's engineers rate thier amplifiers to be stable at particular ohm loads for reliability and longevity.

Nothing wrong with "pushing the envelope" so long as the owner doesn't whine when the amp "puffs the magic smoke".

Why not drive your vehicle while bouncing the tach off the redline while you're at it.
Because its not a race car, its a sound car. Im going for power, so equipment will be pushed hard.

I just wanted to know because if it will automatically go into protect its pointless. If it does smoke, oh well. I can get it fixed for a cheap with a local guy that I know.

No fighting here. I simply prefer to use my audio equipment differently. If the amp is stable all day at that load, maybe the marketing department should advertise it as such. They would sell more of 'em for sure!

I understand. I simply use my equipment differently. Enjoy! That's what it's all about after all. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I by no means wish this post to slam or pick on you in any way. It's simply my opinion so...no offense!
Is it smart to run you car's engine in the RPM red zone? If you need more power, get a bigger amp instead of damaging the one you have and having to spend more money to replace it with the amp you should have bought in the first place.
lol you shouldnt be driving

they dont need to same as any amp company that knows its amp is capable of .25 ohm mono they rate it at 1 ohm

it is what it is dont fight it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Yeah, I tried buying some SQ stuff like some Hertz, Focals, DLS Amps, IDQ subs, etc. Ran my amps at a higher ohm load and it sounded great.

Just not my thing though, Im all about loud. So out with the components and in with the million pro audio midranges and bullet tweeters! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

the fact is most companies won't say an amp is stable at lower ohms loads because in order to do those ohms loads you would need the proper electrical and most poeple do not run the proper electrical. It for there own protection so they don't get tons of amps people say are broken

For sure.

I'm more SQ these days. Back in '91 I had a Geo Storm with (8) Kicker 12's running off of (2) Original Zed Audio built Crunch CR600's at 4 ohm bridged. Mid/high duy was handled by 4 of Savard's Hi-Q 6 inch midbass and 4 titanium tweets being ran by two Crunch CR150's. Back in the day, that was loud and sounded pretty good too.
