Dropping your car w/ system off to get repaired

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/slap.gif.87520e8ca8e90076ac30e777c0de5331.gif ya i dont just drop my vehicle off and go buy breakfast next door:nono:

I've always just pulled my faceplate and never had a problem. There again, I know most of the guys that work on my stuff and live in a small town so I have less to worry about... Left my truck for a week about 2-3 months ago to get a new ****** and the guys were dying to hear it the day I came to pick it up.

I must be the only one that can run their system at 100% max into clipping and be safe or something. Unless they put their tool through my subs or steal my **** I'm good. Now my old system where I was running my amps at .35 I would have been little worried.

it depends on how long it has to be somewhere. if its just going in for an oil change, i may or may not pull things. granted i do a lot of them myself except when its cold and i dont have a garage to use.

if its staying over night or im going to be away from the shop that is working on it anything of value gets pulled.

not a problem for me. my dad is a a.s.e. certified master tech. and i worked as a mechanic for 5 years before i had quit to due to back problems. the only time my car sees a shop is for tires and wheel alignments. and i personally know the guys who do those for me.

on a side note, if you want to have some fun go to a car wash where they wash the car for you. turn your system up loud and pause the track. then just get out of the car and wait. 9 times out of 10 the guy cleaning the inside will hit the button. scares the h3ll out of them.

I like my faceplate with no scratches. Also the Alpine I have isnt exactly easy to figure out for a first timer. There is a learning curve. Id hate to have my crossovers or slopes changed inadvertently.

I didnt have my car that long that I had the system in it. after installing that night we went out and the truck went dead a few hours after install. it got towed to an alternator place and they put a new one in and then had a second battery added. I was worried those dudes would mess my system up but they didnt.
