Dropped transmission AGAIN

what kinda honda you have ?

replaceing my h22a trans was a *****.. took about 2 days...

maybe cause it was in a 97 hatch //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I have to snake a hose down through the engine pay, unplug the filler plug, put the hose inside, have a friend pour the fluid down through the hose, wait for it to fill, then it starts to overflow (that's how you know when it's full), meanwhile you're getting fluid all over you while you try to put the plug back in.
You need to read your manual again that might be the reason you are replacing it again.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

once again......the throwout bearing does not come in contact with the fluid

and Ford ftw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif fuck a welfare check.

jap cars are why our economy is fialing. or at least a good chunk of the reason.

and apparently Jap cars need more work. my car is still driving. he's dropped the tranny twice now...

Must be all that power... LOL

I have a B18A1 turbo with a YS1 trans, exedy clutch Fydanza flywheel etc... pushing about 300WHP and i have yet to blow atrans. I guess what i am saying is you just must not be able to drive...

lulz....all that work to get 300 wheel hp

"all that work" you mean doing a motor swap (about an hour or so) and bolting on a bunch of parts... (2-3 hours) and only spending about $200 total....

I didn't want to build the motor so... 300WHP~ on a "more or less" completely stock motor is good enough for me. Plus it is in a CRX so it's not like you need very much. This was my very first honda (I HATE hondas) and only built it because i was bored and waiting on the driveshaft and radiator for my RX7 project (90 GTU with 347 stroker/C4/N2O) best run out of that so far is a 10.22 @133~

after mods what does the 7 weigh?

and if you haven't tried it yet, do some testing with band tension. The C4 is capable of handling quite a bit of tension on the 2/3 band which could gain you some time on the strip:D

and yes. $200 and 4 hours is quite some time to only make 300whp. A simple cam swap ($100 and maybe an hour) on the 302/347 can get you well over 300whp

edit: and I don't believe you got all the parts for $200

You realize that 300WHP is what the CRX (B18A1 meaning it is a 1.8L 4-cylinder) is making right, NOT the 347 that is in my RX7. The RX7 weighs in at about 2600# and made 568RWHP on the dyno at HMI. The RX7 is running on stock suspension still with a 4.10 LSD (IRS) on 27X10.5 Hoosiers and that was foot brake. I have no got to run yet with the trans break. The wieght/power In that car should be good for 9's IMO

No offense but anyone saying that 4 hours, and $200 to make 300WHP from a 1.8L honda motor is either stupid, crazy or just misread what i typed...

yes I understand the crx is the one making 300.

and my problem with it is not the time....it is the money and quantity of work to get to 300.

last time I checked, even just a clutch was > $200

I picked up a wrecked Integra LS (with the B18A1/YS1 with the clutch, flywheel etc...) for $400. Pulled the motor/trans and sold the body kit for $600 and the rims/tires for $400. bought a gasket kit, piston rings, bearings and MLS head gasket for about $100 (internet buys) spent about 2 hours "rebuilding" the motor with above parts and stock internals. picked up a low mileage T25 on ebay for $30~, then traded the integra rolling chassis for a FMIC kit. Picked up some 450CC DSM injectors for $50 and a turbo manifold for $100~

so i guess i spent closer to $300 but ended up with a profit notonly form the Integra but then sold the stock CRX motor/trans for $200 as well so...

Like i said i hate hondas but was bored so I figured I would throw one together. Ended up pretty decent IMO and someone is coming to look at it thursday for $2500... Everytime a new F&F movie comes out these young kids go nuts for rice mobiles....
