Driver Seat and All Seats audio selection

I have a 2021 Mazda 3 Hatchback NON Bose. It has a feature that allows sound to be directed at the driver or the whole car if you have passengers.
I had a sub, LC2i and sub installed by a local shop.
The sub can only be heard when its in the Driver Seat selection.
When switched to All Seats the sub isnt on.
The shop said, sorry we dont know and the lead technician said, Just leave it in the drivers seat selection lol
